Clear off the counters in your kitchen from clutter. You might like having all your gadgets out, but putting them away will help buyers envision themselves living there.
Slipcover furniture with neutral colors to cover up worn out items or loud patterns.
Hang curtains higher than windows that go all the way to the floor. By creating vertical lines for the eye, you create the illusion of larger space.
Minimize colors and patterns. Keep a color scheme in living rooms, bedrooms, and other living areas. Pick one or two complementary colors, and stick to neutrals for the rest of the furniture and decorations.
Create 3 light sources for each room. If rooms are dark and lacking a central overhead lighting, strategically place lamps to provide maximum light throughout the space. Replace any burnt out bulbs.
